Riparian Livestock Exclusion by Wood II

[lastupdated]

WWNF Project Description

Excessive livestock use on streams is degrading stream habitat and water quality. This project proposes to exclude livestock from streams by placing wood within the riparian area. This would allow for the riparian areas to recover, streambank stabilization. Trees, snags, and down wood would be used to create the barrier. Trees will be fell by hand and moved using an excavator. Little Beaver Creek provides steelhead and redband trout habitat.
