After 7 weeks of driving around the Northwest discussing the Blue Mountains Forest Plan Revision (BMFPR) and preparing for our 1st FAFA Banquet in Baker, we have had the opportunity to complete a sample document of a “substantive comment” for the BMFPR.
We have received a great deal of request for this information and this evening we are happy to announce the first sample document to assist you in writing your comments, links listed below.
It is important to stress, YOU HAVE TO WRITE YOUR OWN COMMENT. FORM LETTERS, COPIES OF LETTERS OR ONE LETTER SIGNED BY SEVERAL PEOPLE WILL BE REJECTED OR ONLY COUNTED AS ONE COMMENT.
It is important to be specific in your comment, identify where your issue comes from in the BMFPR, and to give your suggestion on how to correct the issue.
We are currently gathering reference material from the Draft EIS to give you additional areas to comment if you are concerned.
Here’s what it boils down to folks. If you don’t comment, you lose your chance to have a voice, you must comment now to protect your abilities to object in the future if your corrections are not taken to heart and made part of the BMFPR.
YOU MATTER, YOUR VOICE WILL BE HEARD, BUT PARTICIPATION AND STANDING YOUR GROUND IS IMPORTANT!!!
